From Naples
The best option to travel to Salerno is to fly to Capodichino Airport (NAP) in Naples and then take the bus to Salerno. The travel time is less than 1 hour. For time tables see here.
If you prefer, you can reach the central train station of Piazza Garibaldi from the airport by taking the bus N5 . From the train station you can take the train to Salerno (visit Trenitalia).
If you prefer to rent a car, you can reach Salerno via A30 or E45 motorways.
Additionally, a private taxi company, Milko Service, has been informed of CAIP 2019 and can pick you up at the Airport and take you to Salerno. Milko Service can arrange both private and shared transfer. If you need a transfer, you can directly write an e-mail to Milko De Maio or call the mobile number +39 328 456 1004. The cost of a private transfer from Napoli International Airport to Salerno city centre or to the University of Salerno is EUR 50 (VAT excluded).
From Rome
Alternatively, it is possible to reach Salerno form the Fiumicino Airport (FCO) in Rome by train, car or taxi.
By train you have the following options:

- Take Leonardo Express Train from Fiumicino to Roma Termini train station, then take a train from Rome to Salerno. You can use Italo or Trenitalia.
If you prefer to rent a car, you can reach Salerno via E1/A45 motorways.
